Santa Claus visits Action Nissan

On December 3rd, Action Nissan held our Holiday Toy Drive. Collecting toys for local organizations in Nashville and surrounding areas, including  the Metro/Davidson Police Department, Elite 3 and United Methodist Church Last Chance Toy Store. Action Nissan hosted live music, activities, face painting and enjoyed a special appearance from Santa Claus himself.

Action Nissan Teams Up with Nashville Zoo

     

Action Nissan is excited to announce a partnership with Nashville Zoo that kicked off this summer. Following a donation of five vehicles from Nissan North America earlier in the summer, Action Nissan added colorful imagery to the vehicles for the Zoo's community outreach efforts. To launch our partnership, we gave away backpacks to the first 500 kids at the Zoo on July 11.

     

You might have seen the new fleet of branded Nashville Zoo Nissan vehicles around town, which feature fun and playful images of some of the Zoo's most popular animals. The vehicles are used by animal care, operations, and veterinary services personnel for the transport of animals, equipment, food, and educators, as part of the Zoo's "Animal Ambassador" and "Wildlife on Wheels" programs. Both programs bring animals out into the community for an up-close experience at local schools, libraries, camps, and community centers.    

     

We'll be working closely with Nashville Zoo over the next five years to sponsor special customer appreciation days for Zoo guests and Action Nissan customers. Make sure to visit www.actionnissan.com for a list of events so that you can join in the fun.

   

     

Action Nissan Donates $3,000 for Tree Planting in Nashville

     

We've partnered up with Nashville Metropolitan Parks and Recreation to plant a tree in Coleman Park with each new Nissan LEAF purchase. The program, which started in December 2010 with the unveiling of the 2011 all-electric Nissan LEAF vehicle, has helped give one of the area's most used community centers a much needed facelift and relief for children playing on the sun-beaten playground.

     

To date, Action Nissan has sold 28 Nissan LEAF vehicles, leading the state in LEAF sales. From each sale, $125 is donated to Metro Parks and Recreation for the services and tools to plant a tree at the Coleman Park Community Center, located across the street from our dealership. Action Nissan has donated more than $3,000 for continued tree plantings. We look forward to continuing this program in 2012.

   

     

Adding Enrichment to Our Community

     

Nearly two years ago we teamed up with the Coleman Community Center, located across the street from our dealership, to enrich the lives of children in the Flatrock community. We're committed to the hundreds of children who frequent the center every day. Action was proud to sponsor their field trip to Nashville Shores this summer, providing a fun and exciting adventure for more than 300 under privileged kids. As a thank you, our friends at Coleman Community Center have offered their health and wellness facilities to our employees to promote a healthy lifestyle. "Our partnership with the Coleman Community Center has really created a strong sense of family in our community. We look forward to supporting the center for many years to come," said Action Nissan general manager, Steve Rossi.   

   

     

Habitat for Humanity

   

Earlier this year, we joined forces with our friends at Nissan North America to build a home for a family in need in the Park Reserve sub-division through Habitat for Humanity. It was such a rewarding and meaningful experience to give back to our community. We were thrilled to be a part of the home building process. This is the fifth Habitat house that Nissan North America has sponsored in the Nashville area, as part of their Enriching People's Lives program, committing $1 million annually to Habitat for Humanity.
